“The Awareness of Squareness”

What can yoga do for me?

Yoga can help the suppleness of the body by gentle stretching and easy postures.  There is no competition in the class and you are strongly encouraged to go at your own pace, however, I am there to ensure that you get the most out of your practice.

What do I wear?

Wear loose, comfortable clothing, but not too baggy (I need to see what you’re doing!) Tracksuits or cottons shirts and trousers work quite well.  Make sure you have a jumper or sweatshirt and socks with you for the relaxation.

What do I bring?

Bring a mat (preferable non slip).  These are easily found either  via the internet or your local sports shop. Alternatively, I can supply whatever equipment you need.  A blanket is also useful for relaxation to keep you warm.

Should I eat before I go to class?

I would ask you not to eat a large meal up to two hours before your  yoga class, and try to eat nothing an hour before.

Is there anything medical I should worry about?

You will have filled in anything you feel I ought to know on your Registration Form before your first class with me however, if you do have any concerns, please speak to your Doctor before starting a yoga class.
